Slowbend

Terms of Service

Effective October 1, 2026 · published by Baker Ventures LLC

These terms govern your use of Slowbend, an app published by Baker Ventures LLC (“we,” “us”). By downloading, installing or using Slowbend, you agree to them. Slowbend is in development and has not been released yet; these terms govern the app as built and may be updated before it ships.

What Slowbend is

Slowbend gives you timed stretching routines. You pick a body area or a length, and the app runs the session one position at a time: a drawing, a written cue, a countdown and a chime when it is time to move on. It also stores checkpoint measurements you take yourself and shows you your own first and latest number side by side.

Slowbend is not medical care and is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or assess anything. It does not score you, grade you, or compare you to a normal range. The routines are general stretching routines written for this app, not a therapy programme, not a rehabilitation protocol, and not advice about any injury or condition. Nothing in the app is a substitute for a doctor, a physiotherapist or any other qualified professional.

Safety, and your own judgement

Stretching should feel like a mild pull, never pain. Ease off if anything hurts, especially if it is sharp or sudden. If you have an injury, recent surgery, or a condition that affects your joints, check with your doctor before starting. You decide what your body does. The app shows a position and a timer; it cannot see you, cannot tell how a position feels, and will not know if something is wrong. Stopping early is always allowed, and the session records what you actually held.

Checkpoints

A checkpoint is a number you measure yourself with a tape and type in. Slowbend stores it and shows you the arithmetic difference between your first and your latest. It does not interpret that number, does not score it, and does not tell you what it means. Any conclusion drawn from it is yours.

Your data

Everything the app stores stays on your device. There is no account and no server. You are responsible for the accuracy of anything you type in, and for keeping your own device backed up if those records matter to you. See the Privacy Policy for the complete list of what is stored and how to delete it.

Subscriptions

Slowbend is designed to sell an annual subscription of $39.99 with the first 7 days free, and a monthly subscription of $7.99. Prices are subject to change before release and may differ by country and by what Apple charges in your currency. Purchases are not enabled in the current version: the paywall states this on screen and nothing can be charged.

Once they are enabled, subscriptions are billed and managed through the Apple App Store, not by us. They renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and a free trial that is not cancelled before it ends converts to a paid subscription. You can see, change or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS). We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds; refunds are Apple's to grant under its own policy.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer the app, interfere with its normal operation, or use it in a way that breaks applicable law. The routines, cues, illustrations, icon and audio in Slowbend are written and drawn by Baker Ventures LLC and remain ours; you get a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app, not a licence to republish its content.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Slowbend is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baker Ventures LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any injury, strain or aggravation of an existing condition. You use the routines at your own risk and with your own judgement. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated version. We may suspend access for misuse of the app or breach of these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions.
