Privacy Policy
Slowbend is built by Baker Ventures LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy describes what the Slowbend app does with data. Slowbend is in development and has not been released yet; this policy describes the app as it is built today and stays in force once it ships.
The short version
Slowbend collects nothing. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no crash reporting and no advertising code in the app. Your sessions and your checkpoint numbers are written to storage on your own device and are never sent anywhere. We cannot see them, because they never reach us.
What the app stores on your device
All of it stays on the phone, in the app's own private storage:
- Finished sessions. Which routine you ran, when it started and ended, how many seconds you actually held, how many positions you got through, and which body areas the routine covered.
- Checkpoint numbers. The measurements you take yourself with a tape and type in, and the date you typed each one.
- Settings. Whether the daily reminder is on and at what time, and whether haptics and the chime are on.
- Two flags. That you have been through onboarding, and that you have tapped through the safety screen.
- Subscription state. Whether a subscription is active on this device.
That is the complete list. Slowbend does not ask for your name, your email address, your date of birth, your body weight, a pain level, a symptom, a condition or a diagnosis, and there is nowhere in the app to enter any of them.
What the app does not do
- No account and no sign-in. Nothing to create, nothing to recover.
- No network requests of its own. The routines, the drawings and the chime are all bundled in the app, and nothing is downloaded, uploaded or reported. Every routine works in airplane mode. The only exceptions are the ones you start yourself: the Privacy and Terms rows in Settings open these pages in your browser, and the Support row opens your mail app. We do not learn that you tapped them.
- No analytics and no crash reporting. No PostHog, no Sentry, no Firebase, no advertising or attribution SDK of any kind.
- No location, camera, microphone, contacts, photos or calendar access. The app requests none of these permissions.
- No Apple Health. Slowbend neither reads nor writes any health data. It has no HealthKit entitlement.
- No advertising identifier and no tracking across apps or websites.
Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, your device schedules it locally. There is no push server and no push token: nothing about the reminder leaves your phone. The reminder reads “Time to stretch.” and nothing else — never a body area, never a routine name, never anything that would show a health detail on a lock screen. You can turn it off in Settings, or revoke notification permission in your device's system settings.
Purchases
Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple through the App Store. Apple does not give us your name, your address or your payment details; we would receive only whether a subscription is active. Purchases are not enabled in the current version of the app — the paywall says so on screen, nothing can be charged, and no payment or subscription service is contacted. When purchases are enabled we intend to use RevenueCat to read the App Store's receipt, and this page will name it here, with the date it changed, before that ships.
Children's privacy
Slowbend is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 13. Since the app collects nothing, there is no children's data for us to hold.
Your choices
- Delete everything. Settings → Delete my data removes your sessions, your checkpoint numbers and your settings from the device in one step.
- Delete the app. Removing Slowbend removes its storage with it. Nothing survives on a server, because nothing was ever on one.
- Ask us anything. Email rsb.baker+slowbend@gmail.com. We have no database to search on your behalf — that is the point — but we will answer the question.
This is not medical care
Slowbend gives general stretching routines. It does not diagnose anything, does not score you, and makes no claim about what stretching does to a body. See the Terms for the full statement.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts doing something this page does not describe — analytics, crash reporting, an account, sync — this page changes first, with a new effective date, and the change is named here rather than folded in quietly.
